Tips To Help Out New Moms

If you are a new mom than you are probably freaking out right about now with all the things that you have to do. Motherhood is an amazing time for any woman - but if you are new at it, it can become a little daunting and overwhelming. Don’t be afraid to ask for some much needed help or to lean on others. I know you want to show everyone you are strong - but the fact that you just pushed out an 8 pound baby gives you some leeway on this.

Call in some reinforcement. Ask your mom, sisters, or best friend to come stay with you for a few days or even a week. Ask them any questions on how to do certain things or to make sure that you are doing them right. Don’t forget to also lean on your husband and let him take on some of the responsibility. It might be hard for you to get him to do anything with the baby just because they feel that they are going to hurt them because they are so small. However, they can cook and clean while you are taking some much needed naps.

I know that sometimes it can be hard. Your baby won’t stop crying and you don’t seem to be getting any sleep which is putting you and your husband on edge. Remember that it does get better. Once your baby is used to the routine things will be easier for the both of you. Also remember to stay calm when holding your baby even when they are screaming bloody murder. I know this is hard - but they can sense what you are feeling and it will determine how they feel. Stay calm and they will soon settle down.
