Keeping our skin healthy should be very important to most of us – but many of us don’t think twice about what we put on our faces. We put on whatever make-up we think looks good on us and we don’t even bother to know exactly what we are trying to clean our faces off with. We need to examine everything and make sure that we are doing what is right.

What many of us don’t know is that we are actually damaging it and making things worse than it was before. The first thing that we need to make sure we do it protect it is to wear sunscreen. The sun’s ray can be harmful to our skin and can cause wrinkles, cancer, and age spots. You can use a natural sunscreen or a moisturizer that contains sunscreen.

Another great thing you can do for your skin is to drink lots of water and eat healthier. The more greasy and fatty foods that you eat the more your skin will break out. Drinking water will help to flush the bad food out of your system and will help to hydrate the skin.

When using soap to wash your face every night make sure that it is a mild soap. If the soap is too harsh it will strip the skin of all of the natural nutrients and moisturizers. Also use lukewarm water instead of really hot or cold water.
